Amit Namdev was born in Bhopal Central India, where he started his yoga in India journey at the age of 10. He was introduced to yoga asanas practice through his parents as a part of traditional hindu upbringing.

Amit studied Yoga & Naturopathy at “Ganguli institute of Yoga” in Bhopal. After obtaining his diploma, he started teaching Yoga in India and the practise of Reiki in Dharamsala as well as in Rishikesh. Having collected lots of experience in teaching to interested tourists from all over the world, he then settled in Dharamsala, where he opened his first Yoga school based on traditional Hatha Yoga in 2005.

In 2009 Amit practiced Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in Mysore, the mother city of Ashtanga Yoga, where Pattabhi Jois was based, with Ajay, Sheshadri & Chidananda. To further enhance his knowledge he also practised Iyengar Yoga with Usha Devi in Rishikesh and Sharat Arora in Goa.

He has been teaching now for 13 years giving yoga workshops, yoga retreats and Yoga Teachers Training in India, Dubai and South East Asia. He now has over 15000 hours teaching experience and is registered as designated E-RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance .

Through practicing Hatha, Sivanada, Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga, Amit came to the conclusion that there are elements missing in each of these yoga styles. In order to be able to offer a more holistic teaching and striving for continuous inner development, Amit also studied Chi Gong, Tai Chi, NLP, EFT and Hypnotherapy.
